Knowing the appropriate type of visa to apply for is very important both to the visa applicant and to the company or organisation sponsoring him/her. Each type of visa is meant for a specific purpose. An applicant's failure to obtain the appropriate visa could lead to denial of entry into the country or deportation in the case of a foreigner already in the country.
